In Home Care in Melbourne -

EIH Care Is A Health Care Service Provider & Support Agency

Helping you live independently

As a top home care agency in Melbourne, we have all the support you need to live life to the fullest. Our highly trained support workers are here to help you build the skills you need to reach your goals and maintain your quality of life.

We let each client define their service journey with us – after all, good service is defined by what works for you. In some cases, a family member may be the primary caregiver and we are called in to assist with certain home care services or on certain days. In others, a team of carers will support a client and provide services every day. Whether you only need home care for a few hours or the full 24-hour period, EIH Care ensures that you receive the best service possible.

We can tailor our services to your evolving needs and goals, working with you to create a care plan that gives you the best of both worlds: independence where you want it and assistance where you need it. With us, you can feel confident that you are in the best hands.

The Home Caring Difference

Receiving the support you need to remain in your own home has a number of benefits for our clients:

Familiar surroundings make us feel more comfortable and safe, especially if there are health issues involved. By bringing the support to you and allowing you to remain in your own home, you’ll be able to better maintain your routine and independence.

In home care provides personalised support that meets your individual needs. You will have the undivided attention of a care worker – rather than having to be split between other residents in an aged care home or other support facility – who will get to know your requirements and preferences. At EIH Care, we ensure that you have continuity of care so that you can build a relationship with your carer and get the most benefit.

In home care is better for both the client and their families. Some Melbourne families are able to care for their loved one, others may not have the time or capacity due to other commitments. This can mean that outside care services are the only option for some. Knowing that someone with the proper training is with your loved one to help them through any challenges is a relief to family members and our clients as well.

Our Support Services

EIH Care offers a range of home care services in Melbourne, specialising in aged care and disability support. We are an approved provider for Home Care Packages and the NDIS, meaning we can help you navigate the system and ensure there are no hidden fees. We are always transparent about our spending and ensure you don’t pay more than you have to for home care.

  • In-Home aged care

For older Australians who need more support to live comfortably but wish to remain in their own homes, we offer an aged care service. Whether you need help around the house, personal care, transport and community services, medical assistance, or even just some good company, our carers will be happy to assist.

  • Dementia care

Those with dementia require specialised care that a regular aged care support worker may be unable to provide. Our trained nurses and compassionate carers have helped many clients and their families with the challenges that come with dementia, allowing us to take a compassionate approach.

  • Respite care

We provide one-off and short-term services for those whose carers are temporarily unable to look after them. Whether you have decided to take a break or experience an unexpected obstacle such as a hospital stay, we can ensure that your loved one’s health and wellbeing are looked after.

  • Disability support services

As an NDIS approved provider, our support coordinators will be able to ensure that you receive the services you need and make the most of your funding. We can help with a variety of disability support services, including daily personal activities, community participation, assisting with travel/transport, life skill development, and more.

  • Palliative care

We ensure that our clients are comfortable and can spend their final days doing whatever it is that they love. This is a difficult time for you and your family – our trained caregivers are here to ease the burden, providing the health and emotional support you need.

  • Community support services

We understand the importance of community engagement on your health and wellbeing. Not only do our carers provide companionship, but they also facilitate opportunities for you to get involved with social groups and keep up with your passions by engaging in hobbies.

  • Personal care

If you need help with daily household tasks, personal hygiene, or other parts of your regular routine, we can provide assistance. We find that many of our clients are no longer able to clean the whole house or perform household labour. We ensure that you don’t have to waste energy on the trivial things so that you can focus on doing what brings you joy.

  • Nursing care

While family members may be able to care for their loved one, there may be some areas that they are unable to cover – serious medical conditions, for one. Our team of registered and enrolled nurses are here to help with any medical needs you may have. This includes post-hospital care, wound care, medication management, continence management, chronic illness management, and more.

Our Commitment To You

Continuity of Care

Your helpers provide familiar support for as long as you need them.

Flexible Hours

From as little as 1 hour a month to 24 hour care, 7 days a week.

Worry-Free Services

We offer support co-ordination for NDIS clients and case management for Home Care clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that it can be difficult to choose a quality care provider and that you’ll want to get all the information to make an informed decision. Have a question that isn’t answered here? Feel free to get in touch with our team of Melbourne carers today!

  • What types of support services do you offer?

We typically offer three types of support services: personal care, community support, and nursing/complex care.

Personal care involves helping a client to maintain their everyday routine and assisting with tasks they may not be able to take on themselves, like cooking, cleaning, or personal hygiene.

Community support services are all about engaging with a client’s local community, maintaining relationships with friends and family, and feeling involved in things outside the home.

Our nursing and complex care services are for people who may require a little bit more support, such as medicine administration, post-hospital care, dementia care, palliative care, and other more complex medical care.

Our home care clients may receive one, two, or all of these service types, depending on their assistance needs.

  • How many Home Care Packages are there in Victoria?

Home Care Packages are a government subsidy intended to support older Australians to remain in their own home instead of relocating to an aged care facility. There are four levels of packages

    • Level 1 Home Care Package (Basic Care Needs)
    • Level 2 Home Care Package (Low Care Needs)
    • Level 3 Home Care Package (Intermediate Care Needs)
    • Level 4 Home Care Package (High Care Needs)

As a registered Home Care Package provider, we are able to help you organise your home caring plan and ensure that your package meets your needs. Our case managers will be happy to go through all the details with you.

  • Can I choose what services I need?

One of the things that sets us apart from other providers is our focus on tailored care. We aim to give you complete control and flexibility when it comes to your home care services, giving you support where you need it. We know that all of our clients are different – some may only require a little bit of assistance while others need access to extra support.

The services available to you will be determined by your NDIS plan or Home Care Package. To find out more, speak to one of our Care Managers.

  • Are you a registered NDIS provider?

We are a registered NDIS provider, meaning that we meet the standards set out by the National Disability Insurance Agency and are able to provide a quality level of care and assistance.
